City Center offers everything from outdoor recreation to fine dining and shopping, to a welcoming community.
Homes in this area range from the newer townhomes and tract homes, to gradually aged single-story homes that were built more than 50 years ago. The neighborhood also has stricter zoning regulations in place to ensure that new constructions are relative in size to the area’s older homes.
Cupertino has plans to define its commercial space in order to develop a prospective Heart of the City, which includes a portion of the City Center neighborhood. The objective for this development is to create a well-rounded community, with a welcoming environment that encourages cultural inclusion for all who live there and visit. Community Hall, and Cali Plaza, a gathering space with a fountain and benches.
A well-frequented place for families and students, is The Cupertino Library, which conveniently stays open until 9:00pm on weekdays.
Portal Park and Wilson Park are two friendly parks located within the neighborhood, just a few minutes from each other. Portal Park is approximately 3.8 acres and has a small recreation building, picnic/barbecue area, and a playground. Wilson Park, at almost 5-acres holds three baseball fields and two playground structures along with along with a ceramics studio.
