With walking trails and bike paths that run contiguous to multiple shopping areas, and major commute corridors, many residents find Garden Gate an ideal community. Families are attracted to the award-winning schools and are often actively involved in the schools.
The residents of Garden Gate often frequent Homestead Square, a shopping center with Safeway, Rite Aid, and Michaels, as well as while Oaks Shopping Center, located on the southwest, which includes a movie theater, a dance studio, and several eateries. Garden Gate Elementary, Quinlan Community Center, a senior center, and Memorial Park, are all located on the west side of N. Stelling Road.
There is a strong sense of community for the residents of Garden Gate. This is in part due to the continued efforts of the resident to pass safety measures, such as the “Safe Routes to School Federal Grant,” which allowed for the maintenance and construction of new sidewalks and existing sidewalks.
Many homes in Garden Gate are single-story Ranch-style home that over time have been replaced with newer construction. The homes in this area have plenty of nice views, spacious lawns and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks.
