What started as a cherry orchard surrounded by single-story homes, expanded as the high-tech community grew around it. Rancho Rinconada saw more construction, replacing the single-story homes.
Fairgrove, a small community within Rancho Rinconada, in the 1960’s, began to see more Eichler architecture, which became a signature architectural style of that era. Currently, Fairgrove holds around 220 Eichler homes, along the corners of Miller Avenue and Bollinger Road. The residents of Fairgrove have worked to preserve the style of their neighborhood among the growth and development of the neighborhood.
Long-time residents of Fairgrove ban together to preserve their neighborhood amongst new development. The residents were successful in having the city confirm that Fairgrove, with its unique Eichler homes, must be preserved.
